Description

The aim of the measure is to replace the old and partly obsolete signalling technology at Hamburg-Eidelstedt station and on the Hamburg-Eidelstedt - Pinneberg line section. The affected area is to be controlled from the existing Ef signal box in Eidelstedt. This requires the replacement of the existing signalling technology with ESTW technology. The new installations are to be controlled from the existing Ef interlocking in Eidelstedt. This will increase the availability of the signalling systems and significantly reduce the effort required for maintenance. The reduction in expenditure results from the standardisation of the equipment technology and the associated decrease in maintenance costs. In addition, operational management is improved, as the entire section of the line is managed by a single body and, in particular, dispatching is improved for the entire section of the line. In addition, personnel can be saved.
The Eidelstedt and Pinneberg stations still have old signal boxes (Eidelstedt: Egs, Eo and En (mechanical and electromechanical) / Pinneberg: SpDrS60). The above-mentioned signal boxes are to be newly equipped with ESTW technology. By using the ESTW technology, the outdated, maintenance-intensive and operationally inefficient old technology can be replaced and the personnel requirement for the operation of line 1220 can be reduced.

The renewal of the control and safety technology and the related measures comprise in detail:

  • Conversion area approx. 15 km
  • Extension of the existing electronic interlocking ESTW-Z Eidelstedt, type SigL90
  • Erection of an ESTW-A of the SigL90 design in Pinneberg station and connection to the ESTW-Z Eidelstedt
  • Adaptation to the ESTW-A of the SIMIS C design at Tornesch station
  • Installation of LVB between Hamburg-Altona and Eidelstedt station as well as between Eidelstedt station and Pinneberg station
  • Block adjustments
  • Extension and adaptation of the train number signalling system
  • Adaptation of 8 technically secured level crossings
  • Adjustment of the point heating stations
  • Cable civil engineering and accompanying cable civil engineering
  • Coordination with the parallel projects ESTW-A Hamburg Altona, project construction of the passenger train system by DB Fernverkehr and the project renewal of the track vacancy detection systems.
